Greetings HBCU Library Alliance Membership!
It is an honor to serve as Board Chair. I am excited about this opportunity to give back to an organization that assisted me in my leadership role as the Director of the James B. Duke Memorial Library at Johnson C. Smith University (NC). The Board members, Executive Director Sandra Phoenix, and I are dedicated in working towards sustaining the HBCU Library Alliance as well as undeniably promoting the value of HBCUs and demonstrating the value of your participation.
The Board of Directors, Executive Director and I are here to serve you and provide the leadership needed to transform the HBCU Library Alliance into a sustainable operation, one that is inclusive of the needs and issues of members, and one that creates opportunities for collaboration. We are a dedicated force for action, and with your help, voice and stories, the HBCU Library Alliance is becoming the definitive voice of advocacy for our member institutions.
